Launch of Centenary Celebration Logo and Walkathon to Mark World No Tobacco Day


As part of the yearlong centenary year service activities & programs of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Mysuru, “World No Tobacco Day” was observed at the Ashrama premises at 7 AM on 31st May by having an assembly of about 300 youngsters & students of various nursing colleges. There was a unique walkathon with placards which was flagged off at the entrance of the Ashrama which then went around Yadavagiri area. Students performed mime & skits at intervals on the road to highlight the ill effects of tobacco & smoking to the general public. The event was jointly organized by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Viveka Group of Hospitals & the alumni of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysuru.


The logo of the centenary celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, which is celebrating 100 years of the saga of its service this year was also released today & is attached herewith.

 

Dr Naren of Viveka Hospital spoke about the impact of tobacco consumption on the human body. Sri S Balaji spoke about the milestone centenary celebrations of the Ashrama planned for later this year. Swami Muktidanandaji, Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Ashrama Mysuru spoke about the glory of human life & how to make a joyful living by transforming all types of addictions into a positive forward movement towards a higher & greater human life and possibility.
